Since 1940, the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) has exclusively represented the worldwide oil and gas drilling industry. Through its conferences, training seminars and a comprehensive network of technical publications, IADC’s mission is to promote commitment to safety, preservation of the environment and advances in drilling technology. Membership is open to any company involved in oil and gas exploration and production, well servicing, oil field manufacturing and other rig site services.
The OilCity.co.uk project is sponsored by IADC North Sea Chapter, one of 19 Chapters worldwide, which has been serving the interests of drilling contractors and associated members in North West Europe since 1973.
With regular Chapter meetings and Workgroups established to deal with specific areas such as Safety, Health and Environment, and Training, the Chapter continues to provide a valuable forum for members to discuss and collectively address mutual issues affecting the drilling community.
